Too many Facebook friends can clog your news feed, and even open you to privacy risks. Follow Consumer Reports' tips to manage your Facebook friends network (or even pare it down).

On the left side of your news feed, tap see Friends List. If you are unable to pick up the option, click 👇 See More. Now you will find 4 types of list, click on Acquaintances. Start adding the friends those you want to get rid of. Acquaintances are people you might want to share less with on Facebook. You can choose to exclude these people when you post something by choosing Friends except Acquaintancesin the audience selector. No one will be notified if you add them to this list. To add or remove a friend from your acquaintances list: Jun 02, 2020 · Click on the button on top labeled “Manage Activity,” then, “Your Posts.” From there, you can choose what kind of posts (check ins, photos, etc) and filter them by date range (that summer European vacation) or by who you’re tagged in a photo with, and you can then archive or trash them from there. The Acquaintances list is for friends you'd like to see less of in your News Feed. When you add a friend to your Acquaintances list, their posts will appear less frequently in your News Feed.
