Load balancer will distribute the work-load of your system to multiple individual systems, or group of systems to to reduce the amount of load on an individual system, which in turn increases the reliability, efficiency and availability of your enterprise application or website.

You can attach Lightsail instances to your load balancer, and then you can configure HTTPS with a validated SSL/TLS certificate. In this case, there is an external load balancer, that just happens to forward the request to the only node that does not have an instance of the service. This request is handled and forwarded by the IPVS on the third node, which redirects it to one of the actual containers on the cluster for that service, using the ingress network and An external load balancer will apply logic that ensures the optimal distribution of these requests. In order to create one, your clusters must be hosted by a cloud provider or an environment which supports external load balancers and is configured with the correct cloud load balancer provider package. I never used a load balancer, except when I was toying with an AWS one. I read documentation about what they are how the work, but I still feel like I do not feel the concept. Load balancer stickyness. The balancer supports stickyness. When a request is proxied to some back-end, then all following requests from the same user should be proxied to the same back-end. Many load balancers implement this feature via a table that maps client IP addresses to back-ends. The layer 7 load-balancer acts as a proxy, which means it maintains two TCP connections: one with the client and one with the server. The packets are re-assembled then the load-balancer can take a routing decision based on information it can find in the application requests or responses. Additionally, shared load balancers have lower rate limits that help ensure platform stability. MuleSoft regularly monitors and scales these limits as necessary. Rate limits on shared load balancers are applied according to region. If you are deploying an application to workers in multiple regions, the rate limit for each region might be different. When the load balancing method is not specifically configured, it defaults to round-robin.
