The Verizon Fios Actiontec MI424WR Rev I Router is suitable with both providers--but the Frontier Fios G1100 Router is suitable only for Frontier service.
The FiOS router (typically an ActionTec MI424WR 100Mbps or 1Gbps) has a coaxial/ethernet inputs and acts as an all-in-one MoCA bridge, router, switch, and wireless access-point. In the typical setup (shown below) the coaxial cable coming from the ONT is split in two: one run for the FiOS router, and one run for the TV set-top boxes. The Actiontec and FiOS routers provided by Verizon actually contain two MOCA bridges. The MoCA WAN bridge is responsible for providing coax connectivity between the router and the ONT. The LAN bridge provides connectivity from the router to the Verizon set top box.
